Putting Soccer, “Futbol”, in its Place

Just google me for Nude Ones!!!

Just google me for Nude Ones!!!

As Americans, we always just think about us. Sure a lot of us watched EURO Cup and the World Cup and it is a pretty fun time and everyone knows we barely care that David Beckham is playing his pro soccer in the U.S. I’ll be honest, I like soccer. I’ve worked a lot of MLS games in my life, loved the EURO Cup and really love watching the Champions League. But when we talk about gross salaries and what NBA players and MLB players can make, nothing is more absurd than soccer.

From EZINE articles (http://ezinearticles.com/?Top-3—Soccer-Players-Salaries&id=776823)

Ronaldinho ($29.5 million, salary + endorsement deals) – one of the most famous and nonconformist personas in soccer, Ronaldinho has become the trademark of playing soccer as a game, not as a business. His constant smile while playing and his tricks made him one of the most popular figures today, despite the fact that he’s not as handsome and clean-cut as Beckham or Kaka. Ronaldinho is also widely considered one of the best ever soccer players, despite the fact that he still has many years to play for FC Barcelona, or his future clubs.

The guy smiles and makes 29.5 million a year in just cash! What a saint!

Rumors have it that Cristiano Ronaldo, and his smoking hot girlfriend (NOT SAFE FOR WORK!) is going to demand a salary that would pay him in upwards of 40 million euro’s for a whole year. And oh by the way….TAX FREE.

And remember how we gossip about our athletes hooking up? His girlfriend already has naked pictures on the web. And the Detroit Pistons vs Indiana Pacers brawl? Just another walk in the park for soccer fans. In the US, we have different values and standards and thats fine, but we will always remember that not even here, would a player be as grossly overpaid as a soccer player.

Instant Rumor: Brett Favre signs 2 years, 80 million dollar deal with Jets….OH NO!!!
